Clarity is being sought on the handling of test results and the scale of serious incidents linked to staff error at Noble’s Hospital.
Juan Watterson SHK has submitted a series of written questions to Health and Social Care Minister Claire Christian MHK.
Mr Watterson has asked the Minister to set out the standards governing how quickly test results requested by Noble’s clinicians must be reviewed and communicated to patients.
He is also seeking data on how many incidents reported to the Serious Incident Review Group over the past three years were found to have resulted from error or omission by hospital staff, along with the top five recurring themes each year.
A further question asks how many serious incidents have been logged specifically in relation to alleged delays in actioning test results.
The answers are due to be published by March 24.
