Sean Doyle’s second half header proved the only consolation for FC Isle of Man on Saturday as a second successive game saw the visiting side score four.
Two goals from Nathan Nickeas and one each from Shay Stansfield and Louis Holt saw the Lancashire side run out deserved winners.
Charnock took the lead after eight minutes as Lewis Haydock took the ball off Sam Baines, with more than a hint of a foul, he teed up Holt who slotted past Adam Killey to make it 1-0.
Holt nearly had a second inside the opening 20 minutes as he got on the end of a cross from Nickeas but his header thundered back off the bar.
The Ravens first big chance came in the 36th minute as Callum Sherry burst down the right and whipped a ball in, it fell to Luke Booth but he couldn’t keep his effort down and it sailed over the bar.
Downfall
With half-time looming the Ravens were architects of their own downfall as a corner was needlessly given away under little pressure.
That was only half cleared and when the ball was lofted high into the air, Killey came a long way to gather it but Stansfield beat him to the ball and headed into the empty net from the edge of the box, 2-0.
The second half saw the Ravens start brighter and they were back within one when skipper Doyle headed home with a deft header to make it 2-1 in the 48th minute.
However, after getting themselves back into the game, the Ravens failed to kick on and Charnock began to exert more control over proceedings.
With just under 20 minutes left a simple chipped ball over the top was met by Nickeas breaking from deep to loop the bounce ball over Killey to make it 3-1.
Nickeas had his second moments later as Killey made a good save from Matthew Hughes, only for Nickeas to tap home the rebound and make it 4-1.
