The Children’s Centre has announced that registration is now open for it’s Race the Sun competition.
On May 17, the iconic 100-mile relay challenge will take teams of 10 runners on a clockwise journey around the rugged Manx coastline.
It starts at sunrise (05:11) on Peel Promenade and finishing before the sun sets (21:19) – racing not just the miles, but the daylight itself.

Since launching in 2008, Race the Sun has become a agship event in the island’s fundraising calendar.
The event is a true test of endurance, determination, and team spirit, all set against some of the most breathtaking coastal scenery on the island.
All funds raised will go directly toward supporting and expanding The Children’s Centre’s life-changing services including counselling, education and support programs for children, young people, and families across the island.
By participating in Race the Sun 2025, runners will both embrace an exciting test of endurance while becoming an integral part of a community effort to create positive change.
