Islanders are being encouraged to register for the official Homestay Scheme ahead of the 2026 TT, Classic TT and Manx Grand Prix, with hosts now able to earn up to £2,500 tax-free.
Visit Isle of Man and Homestay IOM Limited have opened registration for households wishing to host paying visitors during the motorsport festivals.
The scheme helps meet high accommodation demand while enabling residents to benefit from additional income.
The increased allowance of £2,500 for the TT period follows an announcement in the government’s 2026/27 Budget.
Registration is compulsory for any private household wishing to host paying visitors and includes an inspection, official certification and public liability insurance arranged by the Department for Enterprise.
Fees start from £65 for one year, or £95 for two years.
