The emergency closure of the top section of the Rhowin Road in Maughold has been extended until next week.
The closure is in place from the top of the road from the junction with the Mountain Road at the Gooseneck to the junction with the Old Douglas Road.
Access to and from all properties on the lower part of the Rhowin Road remains available from the Ramsey to Laxey Coast Road.
The Department of Infrastructure have staff on site working within the closure and it is anticipated that the road will reopen to traffic by the end of the working day on May 20.
