Road Resurfacing Work Set to Take Place in Patrick

Lhoobs Road

Resurfacing work is set to start on the Lhoobs Road in Patrick next month.

The road runs between Ballavagher Road and the switchback on the Foxdale Road (Eairy Dam).

The scheme is part of the Department of Infrastructure’s midi paver resurfacing programme, focussing on some of the island’s more minor roads.

Island Drainage and Groundworks is set to move onto the project once its current resurfacing scheme in Agneash is complete.

An Infrastructure Department spokesperson said: “It is currently expected that preliminary siding out of the verges will begin next week, commencing October 5, with regulation and resurfacing works to follow.

“While work is underway Lhoobs Road will be closed to through traffic. Arrangements are in hand to provide access to properties on Lhoobs Road.”
