A narrow road which runs down the side of the King Gaming campus site to the promenade is unsafe and in need of repairs.
The lane which becomes Switzerland Road, has been closed since development started on the ill-fated King Gaming campus.
Responding to a question from Douglas North MHK David Ashford, DoI Minister Tim Crookall said the lane is “unsafe and therefore the
department is unable to re-open it to traffic or pedestrians”.
He added: “A contractor has been appointed to carry out resurfacing works on the lane which are expected to be completed in early November.”
The campus development has been put on pause after explosive revelations about King Gaming which saw its license cancelled by the island’s Gambling Supervision Commission.
