Safe Space for Menopause Support

A new community initiative is taking shape in Douglas as two local women begin trialling a Menopause Café.

It will be a safe, private, and welcoming space for women to talk openly about their menopause experiences.

The first session will be held on April 28 at 6pm at VIBE Café, offering an informal environment where attendees can share stories, ask questions, and connect with others who understand what they’re going through.

Discuss Experiences

The organisers say the café is designed for anyone currently experiencing menopause, curious about what it may involve, or simply seeking a supportive space to talk.

“It’s an opportunity to ask questions without judgement, feel less alone, and speak freely among women who truly ‘get it’,” they explained.

Heather and Joanne are encouraging the community to spread the word so the event can reach as many women as possible. They hope this first gathering will help shape a regular support space for those navigating menopause and perimenopause.
