Sailings at Risk of Cancellation

Four Steam Packet sailings are at risk of disruption due to the incoming weather front.

Winds of up to gale force 8 are being forecast by the Ronaldsway Met Office for tomorrow into Friday.

These gales will bring winds of up to 45mpp-55mph and rough or very rough seas.

As a result, the Steam Packet says its 2:15pm Thursday sailing from Heysham to Douglas, 7:15pm sailing from Douglas to Heysham and 1:45am return and Friday’s 8am sailing to Heysham are all at risk of disruption.

A decision will be made on the first sailing will be made by 11am with decisions on the two overnight sailings being made by late afternoon.

The master will also decide on the 8am Friday sailing by 5am.
