Theatre superstar Samantha Barks is set to return to the West End next year.
Barks, from the Isle of Man, will be starring alongside Oliver Tompsett at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, when they resume their roles in the stage version of The Greatest Showman. It comes after the Disney musical enjoyed a sell-out run of eight weeks at the Bristol Hippodrome earlier this year.
She plays the role of PT Barnum’s wife Charity.
Of course, Barks is no stranger to the West End, playing to packed audiences night after night in the starring role of Elsa in the stage version of Frozen.
A full schedule for the West End production of The Greatest Showman is due to be released soon and tickets are set to go on sale in the autumn.
Before Barks makes her West End return, she will be back on the Manx stage in November, with a concert at the Gaiety Theatre to raise funds for Hospice Isle of Man.
