The recent poor weather should not delay the new Sexual Assault Referral Centre from completion.
An update on the scheme has been provided by the government, with the completion date still set for May 2025.
The government said progress has been “hampered” but due to the recent weather, but it “hasn’t impacted any of the major works”.
It added: “The significant superstructure works have now been completed including the roof structure, and we are ready for the roof covering works to begin in the middle of this month.
“The next steps include main drainage works in November, and the clean room specialist is due on site early in the New Year to start the first fix mechanical and electrical work.”
