School Educating Next Generation of Riders

Andreas Racing Association’s race school is providing a safe and educational platform to the next generation of bike riders.

A number of riders who have passed through ARA’s race school have been taking the road racing scene by storm.

Joe Yeardsley and Marcus Simpson, both of whom won ARA championships before finishing 1st and 2nd respectively in the 2023 Senior Manx Grand Prix.

Joe also set a new lap record, while Marcus lapped at over 120mph, phenomenal achievements for newcomers. Joe has since finished in the top 10 at the TT and won the Pre-TT Superbike race two years running.

Marcus placed 12th in the 2024 Superbike TT and has taken an international win at Oliver’s Mount.

Riders of Tomorrow

This year, ARA is proud to have five more Manx Grand Prix Newcomers from its paddock, all of whom are Race School graduates.

The five riders are Grant Thomson, Luke Blevins, Blake Kelly, Sam Naughton, and Wayne Avis.

That brings the association to 10 MGP newcomers in the last three years.

Grant won his first-ever road race at the Southern 100 last year and is already a double ARA Champion, all in just his third year of racing, while Luke claimed two ARA championships in 2024.

A spokesperson for ARA said: “We’re proud to have a paddock full of incredibly talented riders, including Ryan & Callum Crowe, Michael Evans, Paul Cassidy, Ryan & Jamie Cringle, and Rory Parker, to name just a few.

“We’re also nurturing the next generation of stars, such as Sean Crone and Aron Redmond, both of whom secured their first race wins with ARA in 2024 at just 15 years old.”
