Work resumes today (September 4), with the Shoulder Road in Patrick being closed to through traffic between 9:30am and 3:30pm.
The DoI say that work progressed well yesterday, despite the mist rolling in, which brought into sharp focus why it was necessary to close the road to safely undertake this work.
It says that the mist also showed the benefit that the road studs will provide to motorists once fully installed.
Despite the closure, access will be available to all businesses directly accessed from the Shoulder Road.
The DoI have warned with showers forecast for today, progress may be slower or have to be paused, as the adhesive securing the road studs must be applied to a relatively dry surface to be effective.
