The latest estimates show a drop in the number of people visiting the island this year.
An FoI submitted by Manx.News shows that the figures for the first quarter of 2023 and the first two of this year are estimates.
They show that in 2023 Q1 estimated 32,483 visitors, which dropped to 27,551 this year.
Those figures also show that there were 121,319 visitors in Q2, which is estimated to have dropped by around 15,000 to 106,443 this year.
The DfE said: “It should be emphasised that the current numbers for 2024 are estimates and will be subject to revision once Visit Isle of Man have received all relevant data for 2024. Visit Isle of Man intend to publish the annual 2024 passenger survey in Q1 2025.”
