Ayre continued their unbeaten defence of their league title as they put seven past Rushen to remain four points clear at the top of the Canada Life Premier League.
Second placed Peel bounced back from their loss to Corinthians last week by beating Union Mills 3-5 in a great game at Garey Mooar.
At the bottom of the league, Onchan picked up a valuable point away at St Mary’s, while Marown put in a fighting display as they lost 1-3 at home to Laxey, leaving them still searching for their first point of the season.
However, the game of the day was surely at Billy Goat Park as newly promoted Foxdale kept themselves in the hunt for a Railway Cup spot as they thrashed St George’s 5-1.
In Division 2, Colby made it six wins from seven to stay top as they put Governors to the sword 10-3, while Castletown put a dozen past Malew (12-1) in an ill-tempered derby which saw three red cards.
With no games for Braddan, Old Boys or Michael United, there was very little movement at the top of the league, with RYCOB only picking up a point at home to Royals, but a win for Pulrose saw them climb up to seventh.
