Smash N Fry, has submitted a planning application to reopen at a different location in the capital.
The popular eatery, formerly located opposite the library on Duke Street, shut its doors temporarily back in January.
Its plans indicated it will be relocating to 42 Bucks Road, formerly the Douglas base of Artisan Gelato.
At the time of the closure, the business promised fans it would return with an even better “taste and service”.
The new application focuses mainly on revised operating hours with the company seeking approval to open from 12pm until 11pm Sunday to Thursday and from 11am until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
