The Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Isle of Man hosted Sir John and Lady Lorimer to the newly completed and remodelled Hyperbaric Chamber facility.
The facility on Peel Road has a state of the art, newly installed hyperbaric chamber which helps people in a number of ways, including:
- Stimulating growth of new blood vessels;
- Increasing oxygenation that can arrest certain types of infections;
- Enhancing wound healing;
- Reducing edema and swelling;
- Enhancing and regulating the immune system;
- Healing of nerve endings and reducing pain.
Since 2019, the HBOT IOM charity have been driven to ensure that this potentially life saving therapy returns to the Island and benefits anyone who needs it.
