Roads
The Police say most roads across the island are littered with branches and debris due to the weather and asked people to avoid unnecessary journeys and stay home.
The DoI said it is receiving reports of localised flooding and landslips around the island.
Due to the river at Glen Helen overflowing and causing extensive flooding in the area, the road will be closed between Cronk Y Voddy Straight and the Poortown Road Junction.
The Old Castletown Road, Douglas, now cleared and passable.
The A3 Main Road is currently completely blocked at Bishops Court, the Orrisdale Loop can be used to go around it – DOI aware.
Patrick Road, St Johns – Police en route and DOI aware.
Main Road Union Mills, partially blocked – DOI aware.
Foxdale Road near Ard Jekyll – DOI aware
A30, St Johns near Saw Mills – DOI aware
Glen Helen Bends Road now open
Flooding between Braaid and St Marks near old Bridge Nurseries – DOI aware

Ballavar Road between The Hope and Archallagan Plantation tree down – Police and DOI aware
Their latest update says: “Please be advised that driving conditions on the islands roads are very poor at the moment with snow, slushy conditions on the mountain, several roads blocked with trees or subject of large amounts of debris and widespread standing water on major and minor routes.
“Our colleagues at the DOI are working through the issues but we ask that you consider if any journey is necessary or could be delayed until conditions improve, and if it is necessary that you take extra care.
“Thank you for your patience during this busy period.”
Travel
Starting with the boats, today’s Liverpool sailings are cancelled. A decision will be made on whether Manxman goes to Heysham or not by 6:30pm.
At the airport, easyJet’s flight from Liverpool, due in at 7:20am is showing as delayed until 2:40pm, with the Gatwick flight similarly delayed until 4:20pm.
This means the Liverpool departure is also delayed until 3:10pm with the Gatwick flight delayed until 4:50pm.
Going out, the Manchester and Birmingham Loganair flights are cancelled (as are their return journeys), all others are currently showing as on time.
The Liverpool flight due to leave at 9:45am is going to be delayed until 12pm.
