Street Angels Ready to Give Aid

Craig’s Heartstrong Foundation has donated a vital defibrillator to the Isle of Man Street Angels, enhancing the volunteer group’s ability to provide emergency aid.

The Street Angels patrol the island’s streets to support vulnerable individuals and have previously administered first aid.

A recent St John Ambulance training course equipped them to use the new device.

Tommy from Street Angels said: “We’ve gained confidence in how to use a defibrillator, and we’d like to thank Craigs Heartstrong Foundation for arranging this valuable equipment and St John Ambulance Isle of Man for the training.”

The defibrillator will be mobile during patrols. The Isle of Man Ambulance Service control room will be notified of its location, enabling a rapid community response if the volunteers are near a cardiac incident.
