The Department of Infrastructure have pre-warned that a section of the Stoney Mountain Road will be shut next week to allow for surface repairs and drainage works.
The single-track road between the main Castletown to Foxdale Road just south of the south Barrule junction, and the green lane that circuits Stoney Mountain will be closed to traffic.
JCK Limited has been instructed by the Public Rights of Way team to undertake surface repairs and to construct several water bars across the carriageway in order to mitigate the impact of surface water on the carriageway.

The workers will be on site from next Monday (May 13) for a week, and the works are focussed on the western end of the road.
There will be no through access between the Foxdale Road and Stoney Mountain for the duration of works.
JCK will liaise with residents concerning access arrangements to properties accessed by this road.
