TT food market plans hoped to be unveiled tomorrow

Douglas Foodies Market is hoping to make an announcement tomorrow (May 10) on what it has managed to achieve after the planning committee refused plans earlier in the week.

The planning committee refused plans from the Manx Food Market Traders Association for St Ninian’s church during the TT period.

The organisation says its now working with the Department of Enterprise (DfE) to restructure the resources it had pulled together to create multiple events across the Island over the race period.

Taking to social media, Douglas Foodies Market, thanked the public for their comments of support on the social media channels.

It says, ‘When we launched the Douglas Foodies Market, less than a year ago our traders promised to not to be fair weather trades so we could promise you that we would be there every other weekend what ever the weather, and we proved it meteorologically and now we approving it metaphorically!’

It says it will be making an announcement on Friday morning to update everyone on what it has managed to achieve.
