The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company (IOMSPC) has delayed this afternoon’s (March 14) sailing from Heysham as a result of the technical issue found on the Manxman overnight.
The Manxman was scheduled to depart Heysham for Douglas at 2:15pm, but has been pushed back just over an hour to 3:30pm.
Passengers are asked to check in no later than 2:30pm to ensure a prompt departure.
The Company has issued a statement:
“Overnight, the Company’s engineering team identified, and were able to quickly rectify, a small technical issue, but unfortunately this resulted in a delay to the sailing from Heysham which has impacted the morning sailing from Douglas.
This is likely to have a knocked effect on today’s sailings with the 1415hrs sailing from Heysham already rescheduled to 15:30hrs.
All Passengers affected have been notified. There will be a replacement coach service available for any passengers planning to take the train to Lancaster Train Station. We will endeavour to have the vessel back on our normal schedule as soon as possible.“
