A planning application has been submitted to install a temporary mobile dental clinic at Ramsey Cottage Hospital while the site undergoes refurbishment.
The proposal, submitted by Manx Care, seeks permission to station the mobile unit for around 18 months.
The unit, mounted on an HGV trailer and expandable once positioned, would operate as a fully functional dental facility.
According to the application, the temporary clinic is required because there are no alternative dental services in the north able to meet the additional demand created by the hospital’s closure.
The installation would reduce on‑site parking from 110 to 100 spaces.
The full planning application can be found here.
