With the Parish Walk less than two weeks away, islanders are in final training and locking in their goals.
As well as the personal achievement of making it to Peel or completing the walk through the night, many taking part are also raising money for great causes.
One of these people is Sophie Stoutt, who lives in the north of the island and is raising money for Hospice Isle of Man in memory of her mum Jackie.
She said: “After losing our lovely mum in December 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer, we witnessed and experienced first hand how important the services that Hospice provide are and just how wonderful they are in in the most awful of times.
“I am challenging myself to the Parish Walk this year with the aim to get to Peel with all the money raised going to Hospice in memory of Mum.
“Thank you for your support and hopefully we can raise some funds for families who are in need of the service to receive the outstanding care we received as a family.”
