Denis J Staunton has announced he will be standing as a candidate in Douglas North in the 2026 House of Keys General Election.
Staunton is a member of Change Isle of Man and is the party’s third declared candidate.
Change has already announced that founding members James Andrew Forster and Mark Cleator will contest Douglas East and Glenfaba and Peel respectively.
The party says it was formed to offer a different approach to governance and accountability on the Isle of Man, citing concerns about how decisions are made and how responsibility is exercised across public bodies.
It says candidates will outline constituency priorities and island‑wide proposals as the campaign period continues.
Further candidate announcements are expected in the coming days as the party expands its slate ahead of the September poll.
Also standing in Douglas North is David Ashford, Jason Cheetham, Damian Ciappelli, Janet Thommeny, Peter Washington and Hugo Yates.
