Grant Thomson was the competitor involved in the incident at Church Bends during last night’s Southern 100 session.
In an update shared by The People’s Bike team, Thomson was transferred to Aintree Hospital on Wednesday morning for further treatment.
The team said he has “some broken bones that need fixing”, and that Aintree is the best place for his care at this stage.
They thanked Southern 100 officials and medical teams for their support, along with staff at Noble’s Hospital for the treatment provided overnight. A further update will be issued when available.
Thomson made his debut on the Billown Course last year and was a newcomer at the 2025 Manx Grand Prix.
