Residents in Douglas, Peel and Port Erin have a chance to find out more about Ørsted’s Mooir Vannin Offshore Wind Farm at three public events taking place this week.
The proposals – for what would be the Island’s first offshore wind farm – include details about its potential to provide the Isle of Man with secure, renewable energy for decades to come – plus economic, employment and community benefits.
Two community consultation events were held last month in Laxey and Ramsey as part of a consultation period which began on July 15 and runs until September 11.
Three More Events
This week’s community consultation events are as follows:
- Tuesday, August 6: Santander Work Café, Old Market Hall, North Quay, Douglas – noon to 6pm
- Wednesday, August 7: Corrin Hall, Peel – 2pm to 7pm
- Thursday, August 8: Bradda Glen Café, Bradda East, Port Erin – 2pm to 7pm
The sessions will feature display boards, videos and virtual reality experiences to help everyone understand the proposals.
Members of the Mooir Vannin Offshore Wind Farm team will be at all the community events to answer questions.
