Thursday’s weather forecast

Today will become wet and windy, with rain arriving during the morning, turning heavy at times this afternoon and making driving conditions quite difficult with areas of standing water developing on the islands roads.

A windy day with the south to southeast wind becoming strong, with highs of only 14°C.

The rain will clear to scattered showers later this evening, as the wind turns to the southwest and moderates. Minimum temperature around 9°C.

Outlook

A narrow band of rain will affect the island at first tomorrow, but will soon clear to allow bright or sunny spells to develop. However a few sharp showers are still possible. Top temperature of 14 or 15°C, in a mainly moderate south-westerly wind.

Another spell of rain will cross the island at first on Saturday, leaving the rest of the day bright with sunny spells and one or two heavy showers. A light to moderate south to southwest wind with maximum temperature around 15 or 16°C.
