Davey Todd will not compete in this year’s TT Races after being declared medically unfit by the event’s medical team.
The decision follows assessment of injuries the Yorkshireman sustained during an incident at the Daytona 200 in March, including fractures to his femur, tibia, foot and nose.
Todd underwent initial surgery in the United States before an intensive rehabilitation programme at a specialist recovery clinic in Italy.
A review panel composed of specialists in Emergency Medicine, Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery from MRMS concluded that the injuries would not recover sufficiently in advance of the event to safely tolerate the exceptional physical demands of competition on the TT Course.
Gutted
Speaking on the decision, Todd said: “I’m absolutely gutted to say I’m not going to be on the start line for TT 2026, especially given all the work that’s gone in over the last nine weeks.”
