An application has been submitted to operate a campsite on Ramsey Rugby Club’s pitch at Mooragh Park.
The proposal from Trailblazer Events Ltd, trading as North Coast Glamping, seeks to host a maximum of 150 tents during the TT for the next five years.
The site would be operational from the Friday before practice week until the Monday after Senior Race day.
The planning statement outlines that the site will be “orderly, well-maintained, and visually attractive” with beige bell tents.
A 24/7 security team will enforce a quiet site policy, with noise to be kept to a minimum after 10:30pm.
The statement notes, “The nearest neighbour, Ramsey Park Hotel, already operates 24/7 and is sold out for TT 2026.”
The application argues the development is a sustainable, temporary use of land that is not required during the rugby off-season.
The site is expected to raise “much needed funds for a community club” and bring customers to local Ramsey businesses.
