Two Dentists Stayed on Old Contracts

Two dental providers chose to remain on the old contract when Manx Care reached agreement with five other providers on a new General Dental Services contract.

That new contract, introduced earlier this year, is planned to clear waiting lists across the island.

As a result of the new contract, Manx Care is now commissioning 127,971 Units of Dental Activity (UDAs) across the island.

Health Minster Claire Christian said: “Manx Care is in the process of procuring a new contract in the North of the island for 7,000 UDAs.

“This replaces the previous contract that was handed back to Manx Care and ceased on March 31 2025.

“The previous contract was for 2,708 UDAs, so an uplift for the North of the island has been arranged of 4,292 UDAs. The procurement process for the new contract will take place early October 2025.”
