The Ronaldsway Met Office has issued yellow warnings for coastal overtopping and ice.
The coastal overtopping warning comes into place at 11pm this evening until 2:30pm tomorrow.
The warning for ice is being classed as ‘low risk’ and will come into place from midnight tonight until 11am tomorrow.
Overtopping
Strong southeast winds will lead to overtopping of sea water (with debris) onto exposed coastal roads and promenades for a couple of hours around the time of the next two high tides (approx. 00:24am tonight and 12:31pm tomorrow).
This will particularly occur along Douglas promenade, with other parts of the island exposed to the east or southeast affected to a lesser extent.
Ice
Road temperatures are again likely to fall close to or slightly below zero tonight and at first tomorrow on high level roads (mainly above 500 feet).
However, the majority of surfaces will stay dry, with any ice only where there is pre-existing moisture.
