Union Mills Methodist Church is arranging a Remembrance Service which will include a display of knitted and crochet poppies.
All the poppies and the needlework installation have been sewn by members of Crafternoon Tea .
Crafternon Tea is a community craft group that meet each Thursday afternoon and alternative Saturday mornings in the Union Mills Methodist Hall.
Remembrance
The poppies have been crafted by various members of the Crafternoon group and the needlework installation ‘For the Fallen’ has been designed and sewn by Susan Carine and Helen Collis and has taken over six months to complete.
Union Mills Methodist Church are holding a Christmas craft market on November 1 from 10am – 2pm with tea and cake available, when the poppies and the needlework will be able to be seen.
They also have a Remembrance service on November 9 at 10:15am which will include refreshments and a mini exhibit of local remembrance memorabilia.
