The Vagabonds girls’ squad had a memorable final training session of the season after being invited to Government House by their patron, Lady Lorimer.
The team, which started with just “3 or 4 girls turning up each week” a year ago, now boasts “18+ strong, passionate young women showing up, growing, and loving the game.” The club said: “We couldn’t be prouder of how far they’ve come!”
Lady Lorimer hosted the squad with a tour of Government House, with a surprise visit from the Lorimer’s adorable dog Midge, followed by rugby training on the lawn.
The club added: “Huge thank you to Lady Lorimer for your continued support and generosity. It means the world to our senior and youth girls, who clearly had the best time.”
“See you next season, youth girls – you’re all stars!”
