Both Vagabonds senior teams are at home this weekend as the mens and women’s sides welcome visitors to Ballafletcher.
The women welcome Winnington Park with the men playing Dukinfield.
Kicking off at the early time of 11:45am, the women’s side is up first with a full squad ready to face their NC 2 North (South) rivals.
Winnington are second in the league and beat Vagas 43-32 last time out, tough the Manx side was only able to take 16 players with them for that trip.
Going into the game, the team said: “The last time we faced Winnington Park, we traveled with just 16 players, some of whom were making their debut, and we only narrowly missed out on the win. This time, we’re back on home turf, at full strength, and ready to bring the fight.
“Training this week has been all about sharpening our shape, solidifying our defense, and perfecting our work at the breakdown. We know Winnington Park will bring a strong challenge, but we’re feeling confident in our ability to match them and push for a big result.”
Men
The men’s side will face Dukinfield in the Counties 3 adm Lancashire & Cheshire, having improved in recent weeks.
Winning two of their last four and only narrowly losing one of the other, Vagas men have looked dangerous going forward in recent games, particularly at home.
Dukinfield are ninth in the league and despite two heavy recent defeats did beat Bury last time out.
The men’s game kicks off at 1:15pm.
Six Nations
