Volunteers with Douglas Lifeboat Station have received their Kings Coronation medals from the Lieutenant Governor.
The medals were presented to crew members who had at least five years service on the day of the Charles III’s coronation.
Presented during the annual service for Sir William Hillary, 11 medals were presented to the Douglas volunteers.
Held at St George’s Church in Doulas, the service marks the anniversary of Sir WIlliam’s birth and death and he lasting impact Sir William’s vision continues to have on maritime safety.
It also saw Jo Partner, the RNLI’s head of region for Wales and the Isle of Man, take part in the service and meet some of the island’s volunteers.
