The Police’s firearms and weapons amnesty ends today, with over 100 items handed in so far.
If you still have unlicensed firearms, unwanted legally held firearms, ammunition, imitation firearms, air weapons, crossbows or other illegal weapons, you can surrender them until the end of today without fear of prosecution for possession at the point of surrender.
This amnesty also supports the Part 1 firearms certificate renewal process, with renewal applications due by April 1 2026. If you no longer wish to keep an item, today is the final opportunity to hand it in before renewing.
Items can be surrendered at:

• Ramsey Police Station
• Peel Police Station
• Castletown Police Station
