Next week Diabetes Isle of Man will be ‘taking over’ The Roundhouse building in Braddan with a free all-day community wellbeing event.
The charity has a full schedule of activities planned to include a yoga and sound bathing session, mini pedicures with on-site beauty therapists, a ‘Walk and Talk Diabetes’ session, and informative talks on the importance of sleep and nutrition.
The focus of this year’s World Diabetes Day event globally is ‘Diabetes & Wellbeing’.
Diabetes & Wellbeing
Natasha Parry, Development Manager for the charity said: “Diabetes can feel relentless. It’s a 24/7 condition, and it can quite quickly become overwhelming without the right support.
“Our World Diabetes Day event at the Roundhouse is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about diabetes, to connect with others in the community living with the condition and to participate in some free wellbeing focused activities.”
The charity is also calling for individuals and businesses to get involved in World Diabetes Day by raising awareness of the condition, and the charity.
If you or your business would like to show your support, please contact the team via email at hello@diabetesisleofman.com.
The event at the Roundhouse will be held on Thursday, November 14.
