We get the last bank holiday of summer out the way and the weather gods decide to bring us down to earth with a stark reminder that winter is looming.
Dry and bright to start today but then cloud thickening through the morning ahead of an area of rain expected late morning or early afternoon.
This rain becoming heavy and persistent before clearing in the evening.
Moderate to fresh southerly wind backing southeast in the afternoon and becoming strong.
Not Quite Winter
We don’t need to press the red panic button just yet, as thankfully the temperatures have missed the memo and it’ll be a top temp of 17°C.
Sunny intervals tomorrow and also a few blustery showers.
Windy with a strong to near gale force southerly wind and a best temperature of 18°C.
Welcome September
Monday (September 1) will see sunny intervals and isolated showers.
The wind will have calmed down to a S or SW 20-25, veering W or SW 15-20 later.
A very similar day for Tuesday (September 2) with sunny intervals and isolated showers.
The strong winds will have disappeared to a W or SW 15-20, soon backing S or SW 10-15.
No Thank You
There will be no Mystic Moz this week as the depression of gale force winds, rain and misery on the horizon is too much for even the Mystical gods to pull us out of.
Be grateful that we aren’t seeing single figures and are still, for now, being graced with temperatures above 12C.
Enjoy the crappy weather, and if anything enjoy the remaining sunny days as we will all be bunkering down for winter before we know it.
