The board of the Western Civic Amenity Site says it has gone through significant changes since financial irregularities were found at the site.
Former manager Michael Raphael Rose has admitted stealing £66,000 over five years while working at the site.
A board statement said it was “made aware of financial irregularities uncovered by their staff in March 2025”.
It added: “The board immediately reported this matter to the Police and we have been assisting the Constabulary with their investigation.”
The Board states that management has undergone “significant changes” since March 2025 to strengthen financial controls.
