Next week Tynwald will hear what operational issues remain at the government-owned Meat Plant.
Tim Glover (Arbory, Castletown and Malew) will put the question to Agriculture Minister Clare Barber MHK and ask if she will make a statement on it.
Last year Isle of Man Meats struggled with operational failures from meat disposals to multiple breakdowns.
However, this year the Meat Plant is desperately trying to regain producers’ trust with a new board and a new outlook.
New Look For Meat Plant
At the end of January, the meat plant said that its new era “isn’t about quick wins, it’s about real progress”.
IOM Meats said that its lack of social media presence is due to the work that is being done “behind the scenes”.
It added: “Right now, our focus is on getting the basics right, and we’ll keep you updated on the progress we make and what’s happening at the plant. 2025 is about getting our house in order, improving our service, and building something we can all be proud of.
“This isn’t about quick wins, it’s about real progress.”
