An MHK wants to know the impact on recruitment, retention and training in Manx Care of the cancellation of UCM’s Health and Social Care degree.
Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper has raised the issue with Minister for Health and Social Care, Claire Christian, in a written question.
Mr Hooper would also like to know what prior discussions were held between the minister and the DHSC, UCM and Manx Care.
Impacts
Last month, the Education Minister Daphne Caine confirmed three degree courses at UCM have been suspended.
The three courses that have been suspended are History & Heritage, Health and Social Care, and Creative Practice.
The response from the Health Minister is due by July 17.
