All environmental surveys for a proposed onshore wind farm have been finished, Manx Utilities chair John Wannenburgh MHK has confirmed.
Responding to a question in the Keys from Jason Moorhouse, Mr Wannenburgh said the resulting documentation was now in production.
“The final part is being written up that from all the chapters when that is ready to be submitted,” he said. “It is absolutely in no way cherry picking of anything. I can confirm that is definitely not the case.”
The environmental impact assessment will form part of the full environmental statement submitted with a future planning application.
Pushed by Mr Moorhouse, Mr Wannenburgh said he could not provide a specific date while documents were under review, but confirmed Manx Utilities was “targeting the planning application being with the planning authority in quarter one of the new calendar year”.
