A 32-year-old woman has admitted assaulting a police officer when she threw a phone at him.
Katie Rose Saunders, from Douglas, admitted the charge when she appeared at Douglas Courthouse this week.
The court heard officers were called to Alfred Teare Grove just after 11am on March 29 after reports of a disturbance.
Saunders was placed under arrest and while handcuffs were being put on she threw her phone at the officer’s face, hitting him on the nose, suffering no real injuries other than. a sore nose.
Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood told Saunders it is “totally unacceptable to assault officers” before ordering a social enquiry report.
She will be sentenced on October 15.
