Women in Business Awards to Return

A local entrepreneur is bringing back a celebration of the island’s female business leaders, with the Elevate You Awards confirmed to return this September.

Louise Wheeler, founder of LC Consultancy, launched the awards last year after attending similar events in the UK.

She announced the second edition this week, ahead of International Women’s Day, saying she hopes the event will encourage employers to support and invest in women year‑round rather than treating IWD as a “tick‑box” moment.

Successful First Year

Louise said: “I’m so excited to announce the return of the Elevate You Awards 2026, after a hugely successful first event last year.

“International Women’s Day is just around the corner and all too often it brings with it a flurry of social media posts from companies who perhaps see the date as a tick-box marketing opportunity, whereas I strongly believe the hard work of women within their organisations deserves to be recognised, invested in and celebrated year-round.

“I wanted the Elevate You awards to really facilitate that approach amongst businesses, as well as to inspire and empower women across the Isle of Man.

“It’s been a huge project for me to bring to life, but feedback from last year was fantastic, so I can’t wait to do it all again this September, even bigger and better!”

The awards will again be held at Woodbourne House on September 17, with registration of interest now open.

Investment firm FIM Capital has signed on as headline sponsor, praising the event as an important platform for recognising women’s leadership and impact across the island.

Entries will open later this year, with tickets released closer to the event.
