A yellow weather warning for coastal overtopping has been issued for tonight.

Forecasters at Ronaldsway said strong south-southwest winds developing this evening will lead to mainly minor coastal overtopping with slight debris around the time of high tide tonight (~1am Wednesday).

Inner harbour flooding is not expected for this high tide.

Areas expected to be affected include Central and northern parts of Douglas promenade as well as Shore Rd Rushen, Castletown prom, Laxey prom and Ramsey prom.

The warning will be in place from 11pm until 3am tomorrow (Wednesday).
