£7m Paid to Manx Care’s Top Brass

The top twenty paid employees of Manx Care were paid over £7million collectively last year.

The figures came to light after a question from Rushen MHK Juan Watterson.

Health Minister Alfred Cannan MHK revealed that a total of £7,690,039 was paid to the employees last year.

One of the twenty was an agency worker who earned £417,161 from Manx Care alone.

The highest paid employee earned £547,850.

This gross pay total of £7,690,039 consists of a total base pay sum of £3,123,551 and other allowances and payments including additional PAs (over and above the 10 basic), on-call and overtime of £4,566,488.

The data provided for the answer also showed that the cost of the 20 people in the last six months has been £3,389,203.
