Sergeant Elliot Butler has been commended for his actions in May, which directly led to saving a life.
Sergeant Butler was named in the Chief Constable’s Annual Awards Ceremony for his actions earlier in the year.
Butler’s quick decision-making proved essential in stabilising them long enough for paramedics to take over and continue with further lifesaving treatment.
The Isle of Man Constabulary said “his professionalism and quick response in a life-or-death situation were instrumental in ensuring the patient survived their severe injuries”.
