Over £6k in Compensation for Lost Tracked Mail

The Isle of Man Post Office paid £6,360.65 in compensation last year for lost tracked postal items, according to figures released in a written Tynwald answer.

The data, provided by Post Office Chair Stu Peters MHK, shows 66 tracked items were recorded as lost in 2025/26.

While the payouts remain relatively low, the figures represent a drop on the previous year, when 82 items were lost and compensation totalled £8,610.62.

The Post Office said the losses accounted for 0.0433% of tracked mail last year, compared with 0.0947% the year before.
