It costs charity Isle Listen £250,000 a year to run its mental health education programme.
Fundraising lead Steven Downward gave the figure while talking about the latest fundraising prize draw.
He said: “The real reason for these prize draws is to bring in income to fund our important mental health education programme.
“This programme, which builds resilience and equips pupils with the tools to support themselves and each other, costs us £250,000 per academic year to run, and relies solely on fundraising and donations.”
The latest prize draw offers the chance to win two £500 Steam Packet vouchers, valid for use until January 2028, to be used in full or part towards any sailing.
Downward thanked the Steam Packet for its support.
“By entering this draw you aren’t just allowing yourself the chance to win an incredible prize, you’re supporting this important cause that reaches almost 9,000 young people per year.”
Tickets are £5 each and the draw ends on August 30. It is open to anyone aged 18 and over and tickets are available on Isle Listen’s website here: https://www.islelisten.im/sail/
Physical prize draw tickets are also available from Isle Listen’s offices in Castletown, the Scholl Wellbeing Centre and select other retailers.
